Amy Cuker

In 2017, Amy Cuker made a New Year’s resolution.   She promised to find a way to get music performance back in her life.   For the first time in 19 years, she set foot on stage again, performing in a Hamilton tribute concert at Beth Sholom Congregation.   That’s where she met drummer Fred Poritsky, who invited her to join BCX, and the rest is history.

Amy Cuker grew up singing in choruses, small group ensembles, and doing musical theater in Livingston, New Jersey.    Amy continued to perform in college with Cornell’s Broadway song and dance troupe, “Anything Goes,” as well as with the Cornell Chorale.

“Classic rock has grown on me since joining BCX.  I love hearing my bandmates’ original compositions, and it’s fun to push BCX into folkier and poppier directions sometimes too.  Now….if they’ll only let me introduce popular standards into the repertoire!”
